Vaping sage prevents hair loss, fights diabetes & delays aging process

Did you know that ancient cultures would often burn sage to ward off evil spirits?  To this day, many practitioners of holistic medicines still include the burning of sage as an essential first step for cleaning a new home.  The burning of sage is said to rid the entire structure of the negative energies of previous residents. 

While this fun fact is all very interesting, the medical community has spent decades documenting the many healing and therapeutic properties of sage based on real scientific research.  And when the International Herb Association was awarding its ‘Herb of the Year’ award in 2001, the green, minty sage was the clear winner.  This wonderful herb is packed with a powerhouse of phenolic acids, antioxidants, and volatile oils which can be helpful in treating everything from dry skin to diabetes and Alzheimer’s.

Vaping sage is good for depression.

Sage is high in antioxidants like apigenin, diosmetin, and luteolin which helps manage stress and fight depression.  Another terrific dry herb that helps improve mood is St. John’s Wort, which sometimes does not mix well with other prescription medications.  In fact, many doctors forbid their patients to use St. John’s Wort for depression because it will diminish the healing capabilities of the Big Pharma medications almost entirely.  Vaping sage is a far less combative alternative to St, John’s Wort that is also perfectly legal to vape.  Still, vapers should always consult with their physician before altering existing health management regimens in any way, including the addition of vaping sage.

Vaping sage delays premature aging.

Sage oil is filled with key nutrients, vitamins, minerals, and of course, antioxidants and phenolic acids, which are all remarkably effective in regulating or slowing the aging process.  The high levels of vitamin A and calcium help to boost cell rejuvenation, thereby eradicating wrinkles and fine lines caused from free radical damage.  Vaping sage gives the complexion a healthier glow while making the vaper looks years younger, too.

Something odd is happening to the youth of today.  Premature graying is on the rise.  Luckily, vaping sage may slow the graying process dramatically.  Furthermore, rubbing a bit of sage oil into the scalp on a regular basis has shown to slow the progression of male and female balding.  

Vaping sage aids with diabetes.

Research shows that the high triglycerides in sage help to lower cholesterol levels in diabetes patients.  Sage is also considered an anti-hyperglycemic and has proven to boost the lipid profile in several patients suffering from type 2 diabetes.  In fact, many doctors recommend that their diabetic patients drink sage tea as a daily part of their health management regime.  Vaping sage produces many of the same healing effects, as well.

Vaping sage improves cognitive memory.

A November 2016 study entitled Salvia (Sage): A Review of its Potential Cognitive-Enhancing and Protective Effects indicated that sage shows great promise as a possible cure for Alzheimer’s disease.  The study is published on the NCBI website. 

“Salvia plants are a rich source of polyphenol compounds with over 160 identified polyphenols, comprising an array of phenolic acids and flavonoids. These phenolic compounds include caffeic acid and its derivatives, rosmarinic acid, salvianolic acids, sagecoumarin, lithospermic acids, sagernic acid, and yunnaneic acids. The most prevalent flavonoids include luteolin, apigenin, hispidulin, kaempferol and quercetin. Plants of the genus Salvia are also rich in essential oils, with a large array of terpenoids including α and β-thujone, camphor, 1,8-cineole, α-humulene, β-caryophyllene and viridiflorol. Moreover, they are rich sources of diterpenes and triterpenes such as carnosic acid, ursolic acid, carnosol and tanshinones.”
“Overall, evidence for the cognitive-enhancing and protective effects of Salvia plants is promising. However, greater investigation is essential to help us elucidate the potential of this commonly ingested herb to enhance cognitive health and wellbeing.”

 

Another study published in NCBI entitled Improved glycemic control and lipid profile in hyperlipidemic type 2 diabetic patients consuming Salvia officinalis L. leaf extract: a randomized placebo. Controlled clinical trial indicates even more promising news.  The researchers asked 40 patients suffering from diabetes to undergo sage therapy for three months.  At the end of the experiments, all participants exhibited lower average glucose levels, fasting glucose levels, cholesterol, and triglyceride levels.  Meanwhile, their related levels of “good” cholesterol soared.
