Sex, aging, and other cool reasons to quit smoking
Remember when you were younger, and you could stay up all night long, drinking, smoking, and doing all sort of devious behaviors? Particularly when we are in our teens and twenties, we so often feel as if we will live forever. Then somewhere along the line, we begin to feel our true age. The wrinkles begin to appear, we slowly begin to lose energy, and even our sleeping patterns can become erratic. Luckily, quitting smoking cigarettes can improve your life in many ways than you may realize!
Smoking kills your sex drive!
Men of a certain age begin to lose muscle tone, gain belly fat, and feel less energetic overall. Medical research largely attributes these midlife changes as a physical reaction to a depleted production of testosterone. Smoking only diminishes this testosterone production even further, which can very easily lead to problems in the bedroom. If you want to boost your sex life, just quit smoking or at least switch to vaping since e-liquids do not contain all the nasty chemicals and carcinogens found in combustible cigarettes.
Smoking makes you age faster!
Smokers tend to have a certain physical appearance. From the yellow stains on their fingers and teeth to the grayish tone of their wrinkly skin, smoking essentially sucks the water right out of your body with each and every puff! E-liquids are also 100% tar-free, and it’s the tar that causes the yellow stains and ugly side effects! Research shows that smoking ruins your looks and rapidly advances your aging process.
Smoking ruins sleep patterns.
Did you know that smoking can actually cause you to sleep erratically? According to the Huffington Post, smoking destroys your quality of sleep, particularly in older smokers. Smokers are also 2.5 times more likely to develop sleep apnea and other sleep-related disorders. If you’re having trouble sleeping for 8-hours straight, it might be because you’re a smoker! Get off the carcinogenic chemical-infused tobacco cigarettes!
Smoking causes heartburn.
Medical research indicates that excess or late-night smoking causes heartburn by slowing the production of saliva while simultaneously increasing the production of stomach acid. If you are a smoker, you may have noticed that part of the problem with your erratic sleeping patters is that you consistently wake up in the middle of the night with a raging case of heartburn. Instead of buying big bottles of antacid tablets to keep on your bedside table, why not quit smoking instead?
