With the arrival of Thanksgiving and the holiday season, vaping enthusiasts have many things to be grateful for after their many years of smoking addiction. While most vapers already know the many heath benefits of quitting smoking, they often might forget the many perks that come along with switching to vaping. While spending time with family and friends this year, perhaps eating some pumpkin pie and watching the football games, take a little time to remember the many reasons that you decided to kick the habit in the first place
1. No more wheezing.
Remember how difficult it was to walk up a flight of stairs or even around the block? Thanks to vaping, you can now enjoy the ability to breathe deeply without the embarrassing wheezing, coughing and choking. While the e-liquids in vaping devices contain liquid nicotine (or not), they fail to include the nasty tar and toxins that lead to these respiratory disorders.
2. Improved sense of smell.
Smoking significantly diminishes your sense of smell. Vapers as well as non-smokers can always recognize that stale, stinky stench of a burning cigarette from a mile away. Meanwhile, vapers enjoy the added benefit of the sweet-smelling aromas from our favorite e-liquids.
3. Increased sense of taste.
The thick, gooey tar found in combustible cigarettes essentially coats your tongue and taste buds, leaving you with a decreased sense of taste. In fact, many smokers won’t even know that they are losing their sense of taste until they make the switch to vaping. Vaping is tar-free, which means that your Thanksgiving turkey with all the fixins’ will taste mouthwateringly delicious with each and every bite.
4. More cash in your pocket.
The average price of a pack of cigarettes nationwide falls somewhere around $6.25. If you happen to live in a state like New York, then you would likely be paying a whopping $13 or more per pack. Even if you were only a pack-a-day smoker, that’s a big chunk of change! For about $10 per week, most vapers can enjoy a multitude of e-liquid flavors while saving perhaps thousands of dollars per year.
5. Fun with flavors.
How many former smokers remember what it was like when they traveled to the local convenience store for a pack of smokes, only to be told by the cashier that they were out of your brand? If you are like most of us, this scenario would probably send you into a fit of anger. Why is it that, as smokers, we were so addicted to one specific brand of cigarettes? But when we switched to vaping, we quickly realized that part of the fun is trying the different e-juice flavors? One thing is certain. Vaping is never, ever, boring.
6. No more dirty ashtrays.
As a smoker, I was always embarrassed when a friend would unexpectedly ask me for a ride in my vehicle. I knew that the car smelled of stale cigarette smoke, and the unsightly dirty ashtray was incredibly embarrassing. The same was true when friends would make surprise visits to my home. With vaping, there is no ash….and no more dirty ashtrays to worry about.
7. No more yellow fingers and teeth.
Vapers might forget those nasty, yellow fingertips and yellow-stained teeth that come along with smoking. That nasty tar just permeates every pore of your body. In fact, the smoky residue even seeps from the pores of your skin 24-hours a day. Smoking depletes the water resources in the body, leading to a poor complexion and the advancement of age wrinkles. Vaping, on the other hand, keeps us looking and feeling young.
This Thanksgiving holiday, take the time to give yourself a pat on the back for quitting smoking by switching to vaping. You’ve come a long way, baby! Don’t relapse back into cigarettes, no matter how frustrating your time with those sometimes-annoying in-laws and relatives can be. Vape on, and live healthy! And Happy Thanksgiving to one and all.
